bai Hotel Cebu has recently embarked on an exciting and ambitious journey towards sustainable operations. Opened in 2017, the hotel has been steadfast in its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint and promoting responsible tourism practices. One of the key focus areas has been the hotel's waste management strategy, which includes the implementation of robust recycling and composting programs. In addition to these operational changes, bai Hotel Cebu has also been actively engaging its guests in its sustainability journey.
The hotel has introduced various educational and awareness-raising initiatives to encourage its patrons to adopt more environmentally conscious behaviors during their stay. This includes providing informative materials about the hotel's sustainability efforts, offering guests the option to participate in recycling and composting initiatives. The hotel's commitment to sustainability has not gone unnoticed.
In 2024, bai Hotel Cebu was honored with the prestigious Cebu Tourism and Hospitality Awards as the Sustainability Champion, a recognition that serves as a testament to the hotel's dedication and the tangible results of its sustainability initiatives.
The award was presented to the hotel's representative, Karissa Boaquen, the Hygiene and Sanitation Manager, who was joined by Hamprey Granada, the hotel's Sustainability Coordinator, and Alfred Reyes, the VP for Operations and General Manager.
